What do I do if I lose my car keys?

If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having lost your car keys and do not have a spare then the first point of call would be to contact an experienced and reputable auto locksmith. With vehicle access and security systems being more advanced and complex on modern cars however, they may or may not be able to provide a solution, depending on the year and make of your vehicle and the level of equipment they have. Failing that the next option would be to approach your nearest authorised dealer to with your ID and vehicle documentation, to order a replacement.

Should I buy a petrol or diesel car?

Deciding between a petrol or diesel car depends on your needs, driving habits, and preferences. Here are the factors to consider:

In summary:

  • Petrol: The better option if you mainly do shorter journeys (i.e. urban) and occasional driving. Petrol engines are efficient and perform well in stop-start city traffic.

  • Diesel: Diesel engines are more suited to dual-carriageway/motorway driving rather than stop-start town driving. You usually see the benefits if you cover a  high annual mileage as they are more fuel-efficient on highways and over long distances.
